holding hands

In the Lord's Prayer (Matthew 6:9-13), Jesus shows us the most fundamental and important aspects of prayer. The Prayer begins by saying 'Our Father'. So, we pray together as a church fellowship. Prayer is something we do both as individuals and together.

Prayers for ourselves and others, based on the 'Hearts' installation outside Wallington Methodist Church marking the reopening of the church after Covid-19 lockdown - originally used at morning worship on 2 August 2020.

Prayer Hour

Prayer Hour meets on the first Saturday of the month - currently via Zoom, at 9am.

Prayer Tree

Prayer Tree

Our Prayer tree can be found at the Saturday Market and all are invited to write a prayer to add to the tree.

On the following Sunday it is taken into the church where more prayers can be added and finally to the Prayer Hour at the beginning of the next month when the tree is prayed over.  Then the sequence then starts again...…...

How to request prayer

We run a prayer chain to further strengthen our prayer life at Wallington.

If you have any specific requests for prayer, please use the link below to tell us who or what situation you would like us to pray for.  Once a week the requests will be passed via email to a secure group of prayer chain participants.  The information you share will only go to members of the prayer chain and nowhere else.

The power of prayer is immeasurable!

Prayer Requests

Churches Together | Prayer Meetings

Churches Together in Beddington and Wallington organise a series of short Prayer Meetings, which take place on the last Wednesday of each month at 8.00 pm and last between 30 minutes and an hour.  They are held in a different church each month and are an opportunity to share in prayer with Christians from different traditions.

Details can be found in the church notices.

(not yet restarted after lockdown)
